Teacher Tip

                                                    TEACHER TIP

Teaching or delivering subject matter and educating students in the classroom and outside the classroom is the main task of a teacher. In delivering subject matter, it should not be done carelessly. Smart teachers need the right strategy to create a better learning atmosphere. This is because one of the teacher's successes in teaching is to see the development of his students, whether they have a better attitude or not and whether they understand the subject matter or not.

The teacher's strategy in teaching determines whether learning takes place effectively and enjoyably. This is not an easy thing to do because Smart Teachers may face several challenges such as lack of student motivation to learn, lack of student discipline, and so on. Here are some teaching strategies that Smart Teachers do so that they are not only able to be optimal in explaining the material, but also able to make students really learn:

1. Grab Students Attention

get students interested in the lesson. Design activities or activities that make students pay attention to the Smart Teacher. By attracting students' attention, the Smart Teacher is instilling a sense of interest in the subject matter to be delivered. Thus, they will be enthusiastic about learning. It has been said that the opening of a lesson determines how the rest of the lesson goes.

2. Always Review Lesson

Reviewing the lessons that the  Teacher has taught can be done by repeating after the lesson or before starting the next lesson. This is necessary to ensure that students have mastered the competencies and materials that have been taught. Students have different powers of capture so that not all students can immediately understand the subject matter presented by the teacher with an explanation once. therefore, repetition of material or review is important in order to accommodate the uneven understanding of students.

3. Pay attention to student performance

Student performance is a reflection of the success of learning. Students who have good performance must always be cared for so that they do not lose their enthusiasm for learning. Conversely, students with less than optimal performance require more support and assistance from the Smart Teacher. Smart Teachers should not only focus on students who are smart and show good performance. This can lead to jealousy and even loss of learning motivation from students who need help.

4. Give a fair and accurate assessment

Assessment activities need to be carried out to measure the extent to which students understand the material taught. Assessment should also be done to monitor whether students have mastered the competencies and attitudes to be instilled.
