We listen carefully to be able to correctly retell what
we have heard. People often retell what they have read or heard in their own
words. When a person retells a story, he/she should include the important
points and say things in the correct order in which they were said. |

RULES FOR LISTENING 1. Be quiet. 2. Be sure that you can
hear what is being said. 3. Look at the person who
is speaking. 4. Do not move away from
the speaker. 5. Be sure you understand
what is being said 6. Know what to listen to. 7. Think about what you
hear and ask yourself, “Does this answer the question asked?” 8. Wait until you are
recognized to speak before you start talking. |
